Belgrade: better in daylight

The next morning I wondered what wild adventures awaited...but it turned out to be a nice, normal day.

Kalemegdan Fortress, which protected Belgrade from invasion for centuries.

Vlad, my new friend from the hostel. An IT expert from Romania with a deep and abiding love for salsa!

The perfect Saturday afternoon: a warm sunny day + interesting company + an excellent view + a couple of dudes singing and playing guitar in the background!

Tried the "Serbian plate" at a restaurant downtown.

At the beginning it looked and tasted great.

Then we found a little surprise under that pile of meat in the middle: another pile of meat!

Except this one looked exactly like what you'd get if you brushed a light-brown-haired dog and dumped the results on a plate!

Taste: Good
Look & Texture: Epic Fail

  1. Oh Aleesa! You are much more adventurous in your food choices than I would be. I guess it's better that I've never been to Europe! The dog-hair description is perfect :)
